As I Slump to the Side

Bipolar hijacks my mind sometimes. I have to think about/manage it every day but with the right pills and the right bed time, I usually can keep my head together. But sometimes I can’t. And when everything frays and my mind threatens to fall to pieces, and especially the times it fucking erupts, I’m thankful for the love in my life that hugs me together and props me upright. The world spins on as I slump to the side but there are always people holding my hand and I’m never forgotten even when I’m lost for awhile.
